Growing Green: Sustainable From the Ground Up. At Eco Green Compost, sustainability isn’t an afterthought—it’s part of our DNA. Our compost is made through a closed-loop system that benefits both the environment and our family farm:
Green Growing Crop: We cultivate a specialised blend of legumes, cut them for compost, and leave the roots to enrich the soil, lock in carbon, and support biodiversity.
Straw & Willow Usage: Wet or damaged straw, otherwise destined for burning, is given a second life as a crucial composting material. We also grow willow on non-productive wetlands and chip it for compost structure helping wildlife thrive while reducing waste.
Zero Peat, Zero Guilt: By choosing Eco Green, you’re avoiding the environmental damage of peat extraction and supporting a more regenerative approach that boosts soil health and habitat for pollinators, insects, and local wildlife.

Real-World Success: Proven Results
Leading the way in peat-free, homegrown quality, Eco Green Compost stands out from other compost brands for a simple reason: proven performance. What truly sets us apart is how well our compost works in real-world conditions. From small backyard gardens to large-scale agricultural crops, Eco Green Compost has been rigorously tested to ensure it delivers exceptional results every time.
In one of our field trials, we applied our compost to an oil seed rape crop, which then yielded 0.5 tonnes more per acre than a neighbouring field without compost.
By planting bee-friendly flowers after the first cut of our green growing crop, we’ve seen an increase in pollinator activity, helping local beekeepers produce uniquely flavoured honey.
From horticultural experts to commercial growers, many are switching to Eco Green Compost for its peat-free composition and consistent, high-quality results. Customers report stronger root development, lush foliage, and healthier blooms—without the environmental guilt tied to peat-based products.
